Melbourne weather
I haven’t been rained on while wearing sunglasses in a long time. This morning changed all that. Before I left home for my walk to work, I looked outside and saw a sunny day with blue sky, so as I was descending the staircase to the outside world, I donned my sunnies. Walking along the footpath, I noticed I was getting wet. Perhaps water dropping from the trees? Nooo… it was raining.
Apparently, this is normal behaviour for Melbn in spring. Not realising that it’s generally considered impossible to be sunny and raining simultaneously in the rest of the world, Mebn goes and does it anyway. Bloody typical of the place if you ask me.
It was rainy and sunny yesterday too, but at least it had the decency to alternate. There was about 45 minutes of heavy rain, followed by 45 minutes of bright sunshine, then back to the rain, then the sun, over and over again all afternoon. Every time the sun came out, the clouds went away, and the city was acting like a cat caught doing something bad. “Who me? Rain? You must have been seeing things. This water all over the ground? Must have been a really heavy dew. At 2:00 in the afternoon. On a warm sunny day.”
