Defection

I’m thinking of [defecting to WordPress](http://wordpress.org/)  from my current blogging program, [MovableType.](http://www.movabletype.org/)  I don’t think software ought to be political, and I want to make it clear that I’m not considering moving because of MT’s new licensing structure (which wouldn’t affect me anyway). WP just looks nicer, and it’s written in [PHP,](http://www.php.net/)  which I’m pretty good at – so there might be some hackability there for me. I can read Perl, but I’m not so good at writing it. 

Anyway, moving from one to the other will be a bit of an ordeal, so it’s a decision I’m not making lightly. Gotta think on this one for a bit.
