I love it when my friends become successful
My friends over at [Peer1](http://www.peer1.net/) went and bought someone! Hot on the heels of announcing a [really fantastic financial year,](http://www.peer1.net/en/pressreleases.asp?id=63) they [went and bought Serverbeach,](http://news.netcraft.com/archives/2004/10/06/peer_1_buys_serverbeach_for_75_million.html) a dedicated hosting company in San Antonio, Texas.
My old company was one of Peer1’s first customers, when their entire company (known as “Colobrokers” at the time) consisted of Delynn and Mark sitting in a cage in the Spencer building on Hastings in Vancouver. They had Delynn’s sales skills, Mark’s network skills, and a bunch of Cisco gear. From those humble beginnings, and with the help of a whole whack of other people, an empire was born.
So, good on ya, Peer1! Congratulations, and all the best.
PS: I’m not kidding about the cage.
