Handy little CSS tips

Did you know there are :before and :after pseudo-classes in CSS, like the :hover one? No? Neither did I until I read this: [http://www.webhostingsearch.com/articles/20-css-short-hands.php](http://www.webhostingsearch.com/articles/20-css-short-hands.php)

The first few are ho-hum, but the final third or so were absolutely killer tips. Brilliant stuff - just hacky enough to be incredibly useful.  This is also pretty useful for steali – er, I mean “getting inspired by” CSS:

http://www.1stwebdesigner.com/resources/101-high-quality-css-and-xhtml-free-t… It’s a bunch of really good and useful CSS templates for any occasion. I’ve dipped into this pool of knowledge a few times.

And lastly, this liquid-resizing 3-column CSS template saved me so much time in doing some design stuff for a project I’m working on right now (no, not that one). http://matthewjamestaylor.com/blog/ultimate-3-column-holy-grail-ems.htm

Hmm. The site seems to be down right now, but I’m hoping that’s only temporary.
