Something I've learnt
(Part of a might-abandon series of stuff I’ve learnt and probably shouldn’t forget). It’s a joke:
> I used to think that my brain was the most important part of my body.
> Then I realised who was telling me that. That joke alone probably saved me oodles of money on therapy bills. Unfortunately, I can’t remember who I originally heard it from so I can’t give proper credit (sorry, anonymous comedian).
Remember: you are not your brain. Your brain can make you believe all kinds of interesting and inaccurate things. You need to be able to rise above all that, and make it do what you want it to do. Like your legs, your brain is just another part of your body - a body over which you have control. Your brain is just there to remember things and help out with maths. (Of course, this attitude I have toward my brain might account for its rebellious nature: from time to time, it refuses to remember things and help me out with maths).
